Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Frayvio (“Frayvio”, “we”, “us”) is a language-learning app operated by Kaya Core, Inc. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using Frayvio, you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — when you create an account we collect your email address, a username, and a password (stored only as a salted hash). If you sign in with Apple or Google we receive a verified token and your email address; we never see your Apple or Google password.
• Learning progress — your XP, streak, stamina, gems, completed lessons, duel results, achievements, and the courses and settings you choose.
• Voice recordings— Frayvio’s pronunciation scoring and conversation-practice features record short audio clips of your speech when you tap the microphone. See Section 4.
• Technical and usage data — basic device and app information (app version, operating system, language) and in-app activity needed to run the service and fix problems.

We do not collect your precise location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers, and Frayvio contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to create and secure your account; save and sync your progress across devices; run duels, leagues and the leaderboard; transcribe and score your speech; power conversation practice; and maintain, troubleshoot and improve the app. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Voice recordings

When you use pronunciation scoring or conversation practice, the audio you record is sent to our servers and processed by automated speech recognition to produce a transcript and, for conversation practice, a spoken reply. Audio clips are used only to deliver that feature in the moment — they are not used to build a voice profile or to identify you, and we do not retain raw audio longer than needed to process the turn. Your device will ask for microphone permission first; you can decline or revoke it at any time in your device settings, though the speaking features will then be unavailable.

5. How we share information

We share data only with service providers that help us operate Frayvio, and only as needed:

• Cloudflare, Inc. — application hosting, database, and the AI speech-to-text and language models that power scoring and conversation practice.
• ElevenLabs, Inc. — text-to-speech that voices the conversation partner.
• Apple and Google — only if you choose to sign in with them, to verify your identity.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of Frayvio and its users. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

6. The leaderboard and social features

Frayvio is competitive. When you take part in ranked play, your username, avatar colour, XP, streak and duel record are visible to other players on leaderboards and in duels. Choose a username you are comfortable showing publicly. Your email address is never shown to other users.

7. Data retention

We keep your account and progress data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to comply with the law. You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise the core of these rights yourself in the app — edit your profile, or delete your account — or contact us at the address below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

9. Children

Frayvio is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

11. International transfers

Frayvio is operated from, and its providers process data in, facilities that may be outside your country, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Frayvio evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
